Scion Car Show & School Supply Drive

Helping Hands Hawaii "Ready to Learn," in conjunction with Scion Evolution Hawaii Car Club, Scion Hawaii and the Hawaii Superferry, will be holding their 4th Annual School Supply Drive on Sunday, May 25th at Aloha Tower Marketplace along the Boat Days Promenade.

Admission is FREE, but all attendees are asked to bring a donation of school supplies to help needy children get ready to go back to school.  The public can enjoy a variety of activities, including a car show; prize giveaways, including trips on the Hawaii Superferry; and a jackpot machine for a chance to win a Scion xD!

Suggested donations include, but are not limited to: 24-count crayons, composition books, plastic erasers, glue (4 oz.), scissors (4.5 inch), portfolios, new or used backpacks, calculators, folder paper (college or wide rule), No. 2 pencils, ball point pens (med. pt., black or blue), spiral notebooks (one subject), and rulers.

Krey-Z Oshiro from HOT 93.9 radio will be the emcee for the event.  There will be over 20 tricked-out Scion Evolution rides on display, one of which is Darren Wagatsuma's 2006 Scion XB, with a rare silver Carbon fiber parts with sleek clean styling.  Marshall Lum will also showcase his car, the nation's first VIP styled, second generation Scion XB as featured nationally in Siphon magazine.

2008 Pipe Dreams Skate Co.

2nd Annual Skate Demo

The skate scene's biggest names to hit Hawaii in the last 20 years is coming to Aloha Tower Marketplace.  Pipe Dreams is hosting its 2nd annual skate party that is sure to turn peoples' heads.  Professionals will demonstrate their skills on the ramp from 1-3pm.  Danny Way, Colin McKay, Ryan Gallant, PJ Ladd, Lyndsey Robertson, and Ryan Smith are just to name a few of the best who will be entertaining the crowd.  A local free skate is scheduled from 2-4pm, and make sure to head to the Pipe Dreams store for tons of prize giveaways! Even stay and meet the pro's to get their autograph!  

   
 

OMAC Build the Track Motorshow

Just in time for Father’s Day: Aloha Tower Marketplace will host the Oahu Motorsports Advisory Council’s Build the Track! Motorsports Show Presented by Subaru Dealers of Hawaii and Firestone Tires.Build the Track! is Aloha Tower Marketplace’s biggest motorsports show, and admission is FREE.
Build the Track! will showcase over 100 race vehicles, (such as road, drift, and sprint cars) as well as street bikes, go karts, and custom-modified performance vehicles of all varieties covering the automotive spectrum. In addition to the radio controlled drifting and grip racing exhibitions, there will be many free entertainment activities for the whole family to enjoy including keiki carnival games, a video game tournament and much, much more.
The Oahu Motorsports Advisory Council, or OMAC, is comprised of representatives from the former tenants of the Hawaii Motorsports Center. OMAC’s chairman, Michael Kitchens, stresses that this is a not-for-profit motorsports show to garner support for building a new racetrack:
“The purpose of this show is to raise the awareness level our situation and to support the existing efforts to construct temporary and permanent facilities for our youth and our communities.” said Kitchens.
“This show enables the general public to enjoy a day filled with free motorsports-themed activity, while encouraging and informing them of the various motorsports and automotive-related interests that occur on Oahu,” Kitchens added.  “OMAC and its sponsors invite everyone to come out and support the efforts to Build the Track!"

Pre-Independence Day Celebration

Aloha Tower Marketplace will, once again, be the host of a pre-independence day celebration filled with a fabulous fireworks display over Honolulu Harbor at 9 PM.  Be sure to be early though for there will be free live entertainment on multiple stages, a fashion show with top Hawaii models, face & hair painting, a balloon artist, and many strolling entertainers throughout the entire marketplace.  These events start at 5 PM and admission is FREE!
