Devon Nekoba and Chanel Moke Puha, morning radio personalities on 93.1 The Zone KQMQ Radio, are not seen on the job. That doesn't mean they can't look as fabulous as they sound! Check out their before and after photos and judge for yourself.

93.1 The Zone Radio's Devon and Chanel's Makeover

By Beauty & Fashion Editor Crystal Pancipanci

Devon and Chanel were invited for a makeover session, Aloha Tower Marketplace style.  They came to the Marketplace wearing their everyday work clothes and Hawaii Mrs. Magazine's Beauty & Fashion Editor, Crytal Pancipanci who is also a hair, makeup and fashion stylist for her own company Panci (Pan-Say) made over with three different fabulous looks to vamp up their wardrobe. They were a fun group to work with and it shows that everybody can look fabulous with the right clothes.

Outfit #1 Night Out on the Town

We aimed for a fun look that she could take anywhere from radio events or just for a night on the town.

This boot cut jean has flattering dark shading on the inner and outside seams that help contour the legs. Sequins add glamour and reflect light so we dazzled her up with a fun purple sequin knit tank that really sets off her rosy cheeks and raven black hair. The top has gathers in the front and a blouson hem to add detail and flow, while still being very forgiving of the midsection. Simple hoop earrings, a silver bracelet, rhinestone thong slippers and black leather clutch bag finish the look. Total knock out!

  • Purple sequined top by American One $39.99 at Precious Boutique
  • Jeans by Element Denim $59.50 at Honolua Surf Co.
  • Silver thong slippers by Brian Anderson, $37 at Nicky Shoe Co.
  • Black leather clutch $42 at Nicky Shoe Co.
  • Silver bracelet $9.50 at Honolua Surf Co.
  • Rhinestone hoop earrings, $19.99 from Precious Boutique

Outfit #2  Casual Daytime

This floral, earth-toned empire cut dress from Crazy Fish with fullness in the skirt is great for Chanel’s body type. It hits the perfect point in the waistline, highlighting where it is the smallest. and is not too tight where Chanel might feel discomfort. The turquoise necklace adds a flash of bright color and perfectly complements the pattern of the dress.  Embellished bronze, jeweled flats go well with full skirts & add a flirty yet casual appeal.

  • Ash & Sara dress $49 at Crazy Fish
  • Turquoise necklace $39.99 at Crazy Fish
  • Bronze strappy sandals $36.95 at Nicky Shoe Co.

Outfit #3 Elegant Evening

A woman’s wardrobe isn’t complete without the perfect little black dress! This elegant pleated tea length dress is a smart choice for an evening out. The décolleté (low neckline) of the dress lengthens Chanel’s face and emphasizes the line of her neck and shoulders, especially with her hair gracefully swept back.  Gold accessories complete the look with dangling, rose-cutout earrings and a dainty gold clutch. The icing on the cake is that this charming ensemble cost under $300!

  • Black pleated sleeveless dress by American One $79.99 at Precious Boutique
  • Platinum strappy 3-stone sandals $49 at Nicky Shoe Co.
  • Gold clutch $68 from Nicky Shoe Co.
  • Gold rose-cutout earrings with rhinestones, $25 at Precious Boutique

Outfit #1 Business Appropriate

Key Element: Fresh Aloha Shirt

This is definitely classic business attire for men in Hawaii. Tori Richard makes high quality aloha shirts which are often 100% silk.  I picked these pieces in particular because of the way the colors combine for a very cool and refreshing look, perfectly fitting in Hawaii’s wonderful year round weather. Simply untuck the shirt, slip into khaki shorts and change into dressy leather slippers, and this ensemble goes from business appropriate to laid back casual.

  • Tori Richard Aloha shirt, $69.50 from Pipe Dreams
  • Tori Richard beige slacks, $95 at Pipe Dreams

Outfit #2 Night on the Town

Key Element: Casual Blazer

Fall is the season for layering, and the key element in this and every other season is a blazer. A blazer is a very versatile piece, great for mixing and matching to create various looks. For Devon, we paired it with jeans, a graphic tee and a newspaper boy cap for a hip, contemporary and youthful edge. Men are less afraid of wearing a blazer because it’s less formal than a suit, and worn essentially as outerwear.  Trends for the season include leather, denim and the return of “the black.”

  • House of Howe t-shirt, $42 from Remix
  • House of Howe blazer, $150 from Remix
  • Oakley Sidewalk Jeans, $85 from Pipe Dreams
  • Quiksilver Baggers Day hat $22 from Pipe Dreams

Outfit #3 Casual Daytime

Key: Element: Stylish Graphic Tee

A pair of jeans and a T is quite arguably the modern uniform of many men, and this relaxed, tried-and true look will probably never go out of style. We updated the traditional jeans-and-T with a stylish, humorous “Superman” shirt and picked denim that was dark by the seams and lighter in the middle to slim and elongate the legs.  Be it light, dark or charcoal, all shades of gray are hot for fall. Here we topped off his ensemble with a gray cap.

  • t-shirt by Junk Food, $26 at Remix
  • DC Loose Miner jeans $75
  • Quiksilver Baggers Day hat $22 from Pipe Dreams
