To celebrate and educate on people’s personal style, Aloha Tower Marketplace has partnered with the Hawaii Fashion Incubator to offer a series of FREE fashion events called First Fashion Friday. On the first Friday of August, September and October, the Marketplace will showcase fashions, sales, style solution workshops, and more. There will be free goodie bags from CMC Medi-Spa and prize giveaways. Join us on August 1, September 5 and October 3 to catch the buzz on the latest in clothes, shoes, jewelry, food, music, and more!
The August First Fashion Friday will feature a Fall Fashion Preview and a Fitness Makeover kickoff. In addition, many Aloha Tower Marketplace merchants will be having special events, sales, trunk shows, gift with purchase and more on these first Fridays. | To kick off the events, the Hawaii Athletic Club in Aloha Tower Marketplace is offering a free fitness makeover to a lucky participant. August's First Fashion Friday will host a panel comprised of Alyson Helwagen, Crystal Pancipanci, and Alan Vuong; and a fashion show presented by Shane Takeshita of iCandi Hawaii. They'll be sharing fashion and beauty tips that you won't want to miss.
Alyson Helwagen is the brains behind LeiChic.com, Hawaii’s version of the wildly popular “Daily Candy” lifestyle newsletter. She launched the daily email magazine and website LeiChic.com in December 2007. Every weekday, Lei Chic's daily article unearths one of Hawaii's undiscovered fashion, shopping, dining and beauty finds that are especially relevant to local women. She also has a regular segment on KGMB 9’s morning show.
Crystal Pancipanci is a local celebrity beauty and style expert and has worked with many local celebrities and shows including Living Local with the Baraquios and Open House Island Style. Her work can also be seen on numerous local and national commercials. Most recently, she was featured on the Rachael Ray Show and teamed up with Valerie Bertinelli to give a dream bridal makeover.
Alan Vuong is the co-owner of Salon Blanc, a hair salon located in the Hokua building. With training from the Vidal Sassoon Academy, he has 10 years of hairstyling experience and has been recognized in the various media for his trendy, fashion-forward hairstyles.
